This new "add" is long - but includes so much common sense that we probably don't think about it.....I received it in a blast intended for a whole class to read and understand - very insightful... ...
Part 1: A statement from the first instructor: As the instructors we feel and hope that you feel comfortable in asking us to go over a step or steps. You can also say will you count that. It is better you ask us that way we are aware of a need to change or help you.
Part 2: This is added by a second instructor: I have a request (which I am passing along from others as well); if you have a question about a step pattern or didn't understand it the way I tried to present it or something, please feel free to interrupt class to ask me (or whomever is teaching) rather than interrupting class to ask your neighbor who may or may not know it either. It is quite distracting and when I ask people to repeat their question so that I can try to answer it, all I get is "no, never mind".
TAZ: Do we do this? Probably more then we realize - lets be more respectful of our instructors and our fellow dancers!!
