Q? : What kind of shoes should we wear for classes? - Taz (me- BW)
Consider it the equivalent of your workout or training. You want support for your whole foot, comfort, some flexibility. You want them to slide for your pivots and shuffles, but not slip so you are vulnerable to a fall. You want your heel securely in the shoe, so no flip-flops. Many find a good supportive, comfortable shoe but find that the shoes stick to the floor too much. There are dance socks you can wear over the toe half of your shoe - you get the slide factor from the main/ball area of your shoe as well as the grip you need from the unadorned heel and toe of your shoe.

Q? : Who decides the level on the different dances? Some easy ones say Intermediate and some tricky ones say easy. What is the difference? *Kay This question needs more than just a one line answer. Check back in a few days and I will link to a page that helps define the levels. That doesn't mean that all choreographers use them... TAZ. SEE answer here--> LINK TO THIS Q&A
Q? : UPDATE ON BLACK CLOUD?? this Q&A is obsolete - see the Where to dance page for info

Q? : How do I get the step sheets for the dances? - *Tango
First of all note the orangish color of the border on all of the website pages. When you see words in this website that are shown in this color, they are likely a link to something. On the Dances (main page and instructors'/venues' pages) you will note that the dance title is in orange and the choreographer is in dark print. Click on the orange title and you will be directed in a separate page to the correct step sheet at Copperknob. BTW if you are directed elsewhere, let me know asap so I can fix it! On other pages, like the Where (to dance) page, if there is an orange word or phrase i.e.: "Join so-and-so" in orange, that link will take you to something to do with that class - like the dances list. If you just drag your mouse across the orange word, it should show an underline or shows brighter while you drag - this indicates a link. I have a MAC so I hope all works the same for you when you access the site...TAZ
Q? : I am looking for the dances you said to look for and all I get are the steps part and the instructors. Am I missing something? - *Susie
Click firmly on the "Dance" tab and it will take you to the Dances... The listings at the top of each page are what I call the "main pages" for obvious reasons.... Each of these, in itself, is a page. Some have "sub-pages". By doing a light drag of your mouse on the main page tab you will see a drop down menu that shows the sub-pages that are available for you to click on also. Click firmly to access the main page; drag to see the drop down, then click firmly on whichever your choice is. Its only a click away.... hehe ...TAZ
